Here's a thought....

"One of life's greatest mysteries is how a 2 pound bag of candy can make a girl gain 5 pounds!"

What the heck?
Why do I only love and want the things that I know are bad for me? I need to find my motivation to be healthy and happy with my choice to be healthier. I want to hear your story, tell me how you make choices everyday to be healthier. I know we aren't perfect, I just need ideas to help remotivate myself.

I found a saying and put it on my mirror in the bathroom,
"I don't have to be perfect,
I just have to be accountable."
Today starts my accountability, I am accountable to both of you who read my blog.

I obviuosly don't make healthy choices since I was congratulated this morning AGAIN on my pregnancy...so my advice for you is to wear lose baggy oversized clothes for a while and then one day wear something slimming, like a black shirt accentuated with a nice sweater vest over a very nice pair of control top pantyhose and surely someone will say you look amazing...other than that I really don't know what to say! I for one will be very intrigued to hear the trick that one of your amazing readers comes up with and perhaps I will be able to rid my body of my Cafe Rio baby and become one of your supporters and heathly friends. In the meantime, much love to ya sista, good luck, you look amazing!!

Oh Brenda, don't you know you're my inspiration? I'm serious. I watch how you did it. Not ever day was easy, but you kept at it. So, that's been my strategy. Slow and steady wins the game. A few things that help me get motivated (this may seem backwards but follow me here...) #1-I don't deny myself anything. If I want candy corns I eat them. Swedish Fish, I eat them. Brownie, I eat it. BUT I only eat a couple or a bite or 2. Then I hide it, throw it away, or feed it to the kids. Now I'm satisfied and the temptation is gone. #2- I look at mysefl naked (scary I know) every morning and reflect on how I used to look and how much I love the new me. Even if the scale is 2 lbs higher than last week, I know I can get it back down, and it's still 20 lower than it was last year.

Hope that helps. But truly you and Becky were my motivation. Lets be each others through the holidays..."You just lean up against me and I'll lean right back up against you" -Bubba Gump, Forest Gump

K - I wish I had advice for you, but I need help as well. My plan in the past has been to just keep the temptations away. Yep, I have thrown away ice cream - perfectly good ice cream just to keep myself from eating it before. Sad, I know. Once I get in a good ROUTINE, and stick with it for a week or two it becomes much easier. I don't even want it anymore. So, if we can just get past the first week or two. Another big problem of mine is snacking on my kids food. My solution is to eat my meal before making theirs, so I am not hungry. ie - have my lunch smoothie done and sip on it while making their lunch. When I have a healthy, yummy smoothie I am less likely to eat goldfish and chicken nuggets off my kids plates! Hang in there!! XOXO (Oh, by the way, Cayden walks around the house saying "bend-a-what, bend-a-roos!, ben-a-what, bend-a-roos!" TOTALLY from your boys!! LOL)

I love ya Beda! When I figure it out, you'll be the first to know! I asked Owie how many chins I have and he counted 3! That sucked. I want to meet Kyndi ... she is hilarious!

Oh so sorry. I don't know what to tell you except that sucks. One thing that helps me, sort of, is just having a cheat day. One day a week where I can eat whatever and not feel guilty about it. Hopefully I junk out enough that day that I don't want any more through the week. Also exercise seems to help and I don't eat past 5 at night. I also find if I eat a lot of junk during the day that at night I will eat at 5 and it is usually something like a smoothie or yogurt or just some fruit or salad. Something really light and not a lot of calories and I find the next day I don't gain any or not as much. Good luck. Can't wait to see you in a month and you look great.
